The deadline for the final number of the 2020 Census is just around the corner. 

As of Aug. 20, 70.8% of households in the City of Carson have responded to the Census. That is higher than the State’s total response rate of 66.1%. However, during the 2010 Census, a total of 74.6% of Carson households responded to the brief questionnaire. So Carson still has work to do.

The federal government uses Census data to evenly distribute billions in funding to support public safety, education, infrastructure, and community programs that help our seniors, children, and families.
